Sunny and breezy in Ferndale, WA

Good Morning! Looks like we have a beautiful "fall like" day here. Leaves are beginning to flutter down. Actually all this "Spring" and "Summer" felt most of the time like "Fall". Crazy weather. Could not grow very much of a garden.

But here in the upper northwest corner of Washington state had probably the best weather overall in the United States. I have felt so bad for those who have endured terrible heat, drought, or floods, etc. If we had gotten out on the road in our 5ver, we probably would have stayed on the West coast.

We won't be going out on the road in our 5ver. It just wasn't meant to be. We sold the truck and the 5vers is on a consignment lot in Bellingham, WA. Hope someone buys it soon. Anybody in the area of  upper northwest Washington can see it at Vacationland Bellingham, WA.

I've been browsing for a possible future mode of transportation. Thinking about C-class or B-class. But who knows.....at any rate...it won't be until next year sometime. What we do depends on so many things....the financial status everything.

...Til next time...see you on the Blogs...

Napping furbabes

Our fur babies are both 10 years old.....good age for my husband and I (seniors).  They have been such a treasure to us. They also adjusted very well to each other.  Both were rescued....

Pretty

Yeah...flying to Colorado to visit my son and family!

Got a great deal on Alaska Airlines.  Was suppose to fly to Colorado back in June, but because of a fall...I could not go.  So...now...thanks to physical therapy on my right leg and hip (and oh so many muscles in that general area) I can now travel.  So I checked with Alaska Airlines and found out that I had $340 in my Alaska "wallet" (they call it) to put toward my travels.  Note: I had booked before with some insurance in case something should come up before, during, or after getting to Colorado.
grandsons - Thomas Skyler Hoopes and James Mason Hoopes
Because of that I had the $340 to apply to a new ticket. I booked my travel for Oct 24-Oct 29 (added ins); then talked to my son about his schedules; he suggest I change it to Oct 29-Nov 5....so I did!  And since I had it set that I would not be charged for any changes, it didn't cost me a penny.  And...to my surprise I had a credit of $49 (a refund).....WOW.  I love Alaska Airlines!  One of the biggest pluses with flying Alaska Airlines is that they fly out of Bellingham airport (15 min from our house); I changed Alaska planes in Seattle; and fly from their to Denver. Perfect!  And they alway assist me with a wheelchair (doctor's orders).

Now I can visit with my son and all the family......I'm a happy lady!!
I be sure and post pics of my trip...I'm so excited. I can't wait to see them.  I'll even be there for Halloween.

Rescue a dog

http://www.rescueme.org/

I encourage people to rescue a dog when looking for a new fur member of your family.  Both of our current fur babies were rescued.  Kume was born on a reservation in Alpine, CA (under my office trailer actually) and Boo was at a rescue center in Blaine, WA.  They both are so special.....and they both are definitely *family* to my husband and I.

Both Boo (top pic) and Kume (bottom pic) are 10 years.

Changes in my Life...One door closes, another opens...

I just came from posting a message on Facebook:

* Dropping out of Facebook. I just can't handle so many functions on my laptop. I'm going to try to manage my "Blog" (http://nwlambear.blogspot.com/ and hope that my friends on the road and my family will check in (and on) me. Another problem for me about Facebook is that I can't keep with all the changes. Also a lot of my family...the closest members....will not even use facebook. (So much for keeping in touch via FB) Ph is their fav communication. ...Sending love from Ferndale, WA*

Hope you will come by often. It would mean a lot to me to hear from you all.

On my mind today is my young grand-niece "Mari". Hear via fb yesterday that she is going for heart surgery in a couple of weeks. She is SO young (lost count)--she is 2 or 3 I think. Please join me in prayer for this sweet baby girl. Her name is Marisol but they call her Mari for short.

Bruce and Margie's Full Time Journey: Update

I still sure do miss Margie!  I just loved the additional pictures her daughter posted on her parent's blog.  But on the other hand I was so sad to hear that Annie died.  It is nice, however, to think she is with her parents.
