reupholstering or slipcover????

Help needed! These chairs are very comfortable for both my husband and I. I picked them up for $10 each at a local resale shop. They definitely need either reupholstery or slipcovers. Which do you think would be easiest to do? Appreciate feedback on this one. Either recommendations for a very reasonable business in the Ferndale/Bellingham area...or instructions as to where I could find "Upholstery or make Slipcovers for Dummies" type instruction...lol.
